Product Description
The metal alligator shear (alligator-style hydraulic shear) is a type of hydraulically driven cold-cutting equipment for metal. It derives its name from the fact that the opening and closing motion of its cutting head resembles the jaws of an alligator. It is primarily used in the scrap metal recycling industry to cut miscellaneous scrap metal into feedstock suitable for remelting.

Working Principle of the Alligator Hydraulic Shear:
A hydraulic pump station supplies high-pressure oil to drive the main hydraulic cylinder, causing the articulated upper blade carrier (carrying the moving blade) to pivot around a pin shaft and generate a scissor-like shearing force against the fixed lower blade. The material is first clamped by a hold-down mechanism; the moving blade then descends, severing the metal through the shearing force exerted between the blades. The machine utilizes a lever-type hydraulic shearing structure and is equipped with overload pressure-relief protection.

1. Ferrous metals: Scrap rebar, round bars, square bars, angle steel, channel steel, I-beams, thin steel plates, steel pipes, small parts from scrapped vehicles, and general iron scrap.
2. Non-ferrous metals: Scrap copper, aluminum profiles, aluminum alloy scrap, and copper busbars.
3. Application scenarios: Scrap yards, steel mills, smelters, and demolition sites (cold shearing; not suitable for thick, massive, or heavy-duty scrap).
