Recently, a 500-model waste shredder, custom-built for a UK customer, underwent full quality inspection and damage-resistant packaging at a domestic production base before being shipped to Manchester, UK, via international freight train. This equipment, purchased by a major UK waste management company, will be used to shred municipal waste, used furniture, and industrial scraps, helping the company meet its “Zero Waste to Landfill” strategy by 2030.
To meet the UK’s stringent environmental and safety standards, this custom-built 500-model shredder has undergone several upgrades: a low-noise dual-shaft drive system keeps operating noise below 75 decibels, meeting UK industrial noise limits; a dust collection device reduces dust generation during the shredding process by over 90%; and an intelligent monitoring system monitors equipment status in real time and automatically warns of malfunctions. The equipment can process 12-22 tons of waste per hour, achieving a 60% volume reduction after shredding, facilitating subsequent recycling and energy recovery. Prior to shipment, the technical team and UK customer representatives completed three rounds of joint commissioning and provided a test report and multilingual maintenance manual compliant with the EU CE certification.
The UK is currently accelerating its circular economy efforts, and demand for waste treatment equipment continues to grow. This export of customized equipment not only demonstrates the technical adaptability of domestically produced equipment but also opens up new avenues for Sino-UK cooperation in the field of environmental protection equipment. The two sides will also explore joint research and development of waste treatment technologies to jointly promote the development of Europe’s solid waste resource recovery industry.
